Spectrum Tube Argon High luminance spectral tubes emitting the line or band spectrum of a gas or mercury vapour. Partly evacuated capillary glass tubes filled with gas or mercury vapour are furnished with electrodes for the application of a voltage to generate the electrical field that provides the necessary energy.
